Hi Everyone,
Just to recap from our last update....
We were having intermittent issues with the retraction of the cartridge when closing the pen. This was an unforeseen issue caused by the redesign during the campaign to accommodate a standard D1 cartridge.
We approached a UK based high precision engineering company to produce a new set of prototypes with the aim to solve this issue and speed up the development process. Today we received the parts back and they work perfectly, problem solved!
As mentioned this was only a minor issue with some of the pens but we strive for nothing but perfection and we have cracked it!
All pens are now heading into the production phase - we will keep you updated on their progress with images/updates.

Progress update

Dear Backers,
We hope that you're all having a great week so far.
Today, we've made progress towards the perfect product we're striving for... Although we're not quite there yet, we are getting close. This afternoon was spent with our F1 machining partners changing our middle body section 100 microns (0.1mm) at a time ( yes that is how incredibly precise our design is), this is so that you can close the pen softly when you're parallel to the floor and the mechanism will still retract. it's such a minor bug we're trying to iron out that you probably wouldn't even notice, otherwise it's perfect.
Whats the plan? Well, tomorrow we're going to make another small adjustment and if that doesn't do it then we will try our other solutions until it's right.
Be assured we have a problem solving strategy, it’s just a case of trying these changes in the correct order.

Dear Backers,
We hope that you're all having a great week so far.
A couple of exciting updates for you today; firstly, we've just spoken to UK based precision machining company and we're days away from receiving the final modifications to MAGNO-INK. Once the changes ensure the function is exactly as intended, we will modify the drawings and update our manufacturing partners. Manufacturing time will be 30 days from sending the updated drawings to our suppliers. We'll be sure to keep you in the loop as and when this happens.
MAGNO Ti LAUNCH
Since having the opportunity to work on HRIBARCAIN full-time, we've been able to fully focus on delivering great products in a shorter space of time than otherwise possible. We're extremely proud to introduce our latest product... MAGNO Ti: World's First Magnetically Powered Titanium Pencil.

MAGNO-INK Manufacturing Update

Hello Backers,
We hope you are all well and looking forward to receiving Magno-Ink!
We would like to give you an update on our efforts over the last couple of weeks.
Magno-Ink has undergone a few component changes to further improve the design. This was a decision we made during the campaign following requests from numerous backers to accommodate a standard D1 cartridge. We had to change a couple of the internal components to enable this new feature but we feel it has significantly enhanced the functionality of the design….so thank you! As ever, we love to hear your suggestions and we will always do our very best to act on them to make improvements.
In addition we upgraded the anti-roll ‘bore hole’ to a separate machined brass weight. This added manufacture cost but the design is our upmost priority. This has improved the effectiveness of the anti-roll feature as brass has a much higher density to weight ratio than aluminium.
A month ago we ordered a whole new round of prototypes with these new changes. We received them from our manufactures this week. Whilst these changes have made Magno-Ink a better product, we have noticed the occasional failure when closing the mechanism after use. It is only very occasional but we want Magno-Ink to be perfect. Unfortunately, rectifying this issue will have an impact on our delivery time. We cannot yet specify how long the delay will be but please be assured we are doing everything we can to not significantly impact on our estimated delivery.
We have updated our drawings to fix the issue but we would not feel confident to begin manufacture without paying for another round of prototypes to approve the design. Today we visited a machining factory based in the UK. They specialise in high precision components for Formula 1. We feel that we may be able to speed up the process by approving the design change in the UK and promise to keep you updated every step of the way.

This delay is frustrating but we would rather deliver a much better product a little late than a faulty product on time. We also believe honesty is the best policy! We hope you understand.

Dear Backers,
Hopefully, everyone had a great weekend!
We just wanted to do a small update to keep you all in the loop... All final samples are well underway and almost ready for approval (Pictures to follow). With the D1 design change we made during the campaign, we're slightly behind where we'd like to be. Although with that said we are hoping to make up some time by ordering the materials (Aluminium) before we approve the final sample.
